Fighting the good fight

Now why don't we learn from the World cup. All great conflicts could so easily be solved if we just leave it to the athletes to fight it out on the field, and we can cheer them on. Historically, during the the times of the Byzantine Empire, you had the blues fighting the greens for gladiatorial or chariot-race glory, and though the stupid fans always had to riot, at least it did not lead to war---leave it to the god-damned bankers and merchants to lead our brave young men, over the centuries, to cause mayhem, and the mob turns democracy into a chaos that invites dictators.
Ah, this is just rambling, I know, but we have lessons to learn, and we haven't many options when it comes to doing it peacefully!.

that's it for now.
What frosts your weenie??
